From an early start in my family’s construction business to becoming a Chartered Accountant and Audit Managing Director (MD) at Deloitte, my professional journey has been rich and fulfilling. At Deloitte, I realised my passion for people development by becoming the National Audit & Assurance Director of People Support, dedicating myself to the growth and support of our talented management team. I continue to serve in a reduced capacity as MD while fully embracing my role in People Support.
With over two decades immersed in Deloitte’s audit and advisory landscape, I’ve had the honour of working with a diverse array of clients, from indigenous private enterprises to global organisations. My expertise extends to publicly funded sectors, including national hospitals, universities, NGOs, and charities.
Discovering My True Calling: Coaching
As rewarding as my career at Deloitte has been and continues to be, I realised I wasn’t fully leveraging my passion for people development. Although my career achievements were significant, I yearned for a deeper, more personalised impact. This led me to reduce my MD responsibilities, immerse myself in our People Support initiatives, and embrace the joys of spending quality time with my two children.
With that newfound clarity, I founded EmpowerMe Business & Executive Coaching (EmpowerMe Coaching), a venture close to my heart. While continuing my internal coaching and mentoring role at Deloitte, I broadened my external coaching portfolio, enriching the experience for my clients and myself.
